London Fashion Week – Day 1

"I was so excited for London Fashion Week, it’s the most involved I’ve been in a fashion week so far and it took me 3 hours to plan all of my outfits for the different events I had to go to!  Day one started with breakfast with the girls from Oh My Love before style spotting at Somerset House.  I wore a black mesh dress with a white long sleeved crop over the top and a leather jacket with some chunky boots and a black hat.  See below for photos from the day and outfit details at the bottom."

My second outfit of the day was another Oh My Love dress, a short white shift dress with lace detail at the bottom.  I switched to flat shoes for this look but kept the hat and leather jacket on.  It got so hot at Somerset House so I was happy to change into something a bit cooler!  We ended our afternoon with some Afternoon Tea at the Delaunay Hotel which was the perfect opportunity to chat about the outfits we’d seen during the day and go through all the hundreds of photos we’d taken!

After a quick stop off at home, I was on my way to the PPQ show at Le Peep Boutique with the girls from Claire’s.  It was a really good show, all completely white and the accessories and embellishments were created completely out of jewellery from Claire’s.  For this show I wore my faux leather trousers with a white vest and a beaded jacket with turquoise snake print heeled pumps and a simple black clutch.

Thank you to the girls at Oh My Love for a great day at Somerset House and to the team at Claire’s for a great time at the PPQ show! xx

Skin Design London at LFW

London Fashion Week – this means sleepless nights for designers, thousands of Instagram and Twitter uploads using the appropriate hashtags posted by fashion lovers and hundreds of models giving their best walks in front of some of the most famous faces in the world.  So no pressure then.  Each show is so diverse that make up looks can change dramatically from one show to the next, giving the fashion loving public a variety of looks to adore, but can give the models unwanted break outs and skin that is struggling to withstand the gruelling measures the model is having to put it through.  Every model will tell you that water is vital for them to keep their skin looking fresh, but in these busy periods such as fashion week, they may need a little extra help.  Enter Skin Design London, a superior designer skincare range.  They are all about the luxury involved in what they call ‘couture skincare’ so launching alongside Felder Felder‘s SS15 Fashion Week Show was a perfect opportunity for them.
From looking at the Skin Design London website it’s obvious that they take skin care seriously with a tab especially dedicated to answering any questions you may have about your skin including asking the type of skin you desire with the aim in giving you a reply in as much depth as possible advising the correct products you should use to get your desired look!
I have used both the ‘Boost Of Youth FC20‘ and the ‘Antioxidant Creme FC‘ on my skin and they definitely are luxurious.  From the scent to the texture, they have something unique that makes me want to cover my skin in both products I have, although in reality only a small amount in the morning and at night are necessary to achieve good results.  I would definitely recommend these products to anyone wanting to indulge a bit more in their skincare range, the skin of the models working during fashion week will definitely benefit from a range like Skin Design London, something that I am sure will be evident when the Felder Felder SS15 show takes place.

Novo London

Whilst browsing on Twitter recently I saw a photo of a celebrity in the most gorgeous dress.  Obviously I assumed that the dress was thousands of pounds and that she was extremely lucky to be wearing it.  Then I saw that she had tagged the brand in her tweet and when I clicked to find out this new high end designer I discovered that it was in fact online store Novo London, and the dress in the photo was a reasonable £75!! For the quality of the dress and how stunning it looked I was amazed at such good value and instantly knew it was going to be one of my new ‘go-to’ online stores for dresses. I got 4 dresses* from Novo London and have loved every single one.  Below are photos of me wearing one of the dresses with some Jimmy Choo sandals, check out how I’ve styled it and look for more blog posts coming soon with the other 3 dresses featured. Details at the bottom.

Jeans For Genes 2014

Danielle says:
Last September I posted a blog post about an event that I went to for the genetic disorder charity Jeans for Genes.  The charity helps raise money for children through various different ways of fundraising and events like the one I went to help raise awareness but most importantly money for the charity.  Earlier this year I was so honoured when Jeans for Genes contacted me about being involved in their campaign along side people like Sam Faiers (from TV show ‘The Only Way Is Essex’) and Coleen Rooney (married to footballer Wayne Rooney).  I accepted straight away, although I found the experience daunting as these famous women are so well recognised and familiar to fronting campaigns this was completely new to me but so much fun and for such a good cause.  The shoot involved me wearing t-shirts that are sold by Jeans for Genes to help raise money, so I would definitely encourage people to buy one or donate in anyway that you can www.jeansforgenesday.org.
Below are some photos that I took separately from the official shoot but still wearing one of the designs.  I have naturally worn it with jeans but as its a darker t shirt I think it can be dressed quite smartly too even though I have worn it casually.
Look out for photos from the Jeans for Genes event this year with full outfit details on the blog or on my Instagram (dcp1006).

Pink Boutique

Danielle says: I recently went on holiday to LA, whilst I was there and out one night with a friend, she was wearing a gorgeous black jumpsuit that looked so good on her that I expected her to tell me it was from an expensive LA store.  When she told me it was from the UK online site Pink Boutique and was a reasonable price I was so happy and knew I had to check out their pieces as soon as I got back to London.  After browsing through their website I got a green body con dress with diamond detail on the neckline*.  Pink boutique specialise in going out dresses and the variety they have is so wide.  In addition to that they also have a selection of casual day pieces as well as shoes, bags and accessories.  After receiving my dress I posted a photo on Instagram that people seemed to like so I have picked out a few more of my favourite pieces from the website below.   I’ll be wearing my dress with some simple black heels and a black clutch.  The dress is so eye catching that everything else needs to be minimal. Check out the Pink Boutique site for more pieces by clicking here.

Transition Trends

New post on IdleLane.com

think any Londoner will agree that we’ve had a brilliant run of warm weather over the last few months (with the odd thunderstorm here and there!) On the whole it has been warm enough to go out without a jacket and I feel like I’ve pretty much worn all of my summer wardrobe.  However, now we’re getting into that funny stage between summer and autumn where although it may be pleasant during the day, there is a definite chill in the air come evening and dressing for day to night can become slightly more challenging.  Below is an outfit that I think is perfect for this transitional phase, the shorts allowing you to be cool enough if the temperatures are higher but the lightweight jumper protect you in the colder temperatures of the evening.  Details at the bottom.

Teen Choice Awards 2014

Welcome to my new blog about Danielle's style! I'm really happy I can share my blog with you all! :) This is my first post.
Danielle says: "I was so excited about being invited to the Teen Choice Awards this year but had absolutely no idea what to wear!  I had recently bought a lace crop top from Topshop and knew that I would want to wear something like that in the LA heat.  I saw a black and white skirt from Candies that I liked and the skater style meant that it would be comfortable to sit in for a few hours whilst the awards were going on.  See photos below of how I styled my outfit, details at the bottom."

"Thanks to Candies for inviting me to the Teen Choice Awards and to Be Public Relations for providing part of my outfits for both the pre party and award ceremony."
